About CAIIB Exam

OBJECTIVE
CAIIB aims at providing advanced knowledge necessary for better decision making covering risk,
financial and general bank management.
MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION : Either in Hindi or English
ELIGIBILITY : Candidates must have completed JAIIB or PART-1 of the Associate Examination, and their
membership subscription should not be in arrears.
SUBJECT OF EXAMINATION
I. Compulsory Papers
1. Advanced Bank Management
2. Bank Financial Management
II. Elective Papers (Candidates to choose any one of their Choice)
1. Corporate Banking
2. Rural Banking 8. Information Technology
3. International Banking
4. Retail Banking
5. Co-operative Banking
6. Financial advising
7. Human Resources Management
8. Information Technology
9. Risk Management
10.Central Banking
11. Treasury Management
There is no exemption in any of the above subject/s for prior qualification/s.
The Institute has introduced electives to give opportunities for candidates to specialize in the vertical of
their choice. Candidates may choose the elective in the area they are currently working or in the area
they would like to work in future. It is suggested that the candidates may choose the elective in the area
they are currently working and later move to other elective as this will enable appropriate skills / build
up for handling different banking verticals.
Cut-off Date of Guidelines / Important Developments for Examinations
In respect of the exams to be conducted by the Institute during May / June of a calendar year,
instructions / guidelines issued by the regulator(s) and important developments in banking and finance
up to 31st December of the previous year will only be considered for the purpose of inclusion in the
question papers. In respect of the exams to be conducted by the Institute during November / December
of a calendar year, instructions / guidelines issued by the regulator(s) and important developments in
banking and finance will also be included as the topics of the exam.
Further, questions based on current developments in banking and finance may be asked.
Candidates are advised to refer to financial news papers / periodicals more particularly "IIBF VISION"
and "BANK QUEST" published by the Institute.
MODE OF EXAMINATION
Examination will be conducted in Online Mode at all centered no offline mode is available, as per the notification given on the web site in this regard. Examination will
be held on three consecutive Sundays (one paper on each Sunday).�

Next exam will be conducted probably in the month of June/July 2017. Notification may release on the month of March 2017.

Hello, Welcome to "Unexpected Banker" Blog most of the new generation bankers are unexpected bankers like me , who never thought they will become banker in their life , most of us are belongs to non finance background and now trying to learn the basics of accountancy , and trying hard to pass JAIIB and CAIIB . These exams are very important to understand what is banking , most of us are just trying to pass the exam instead of understanding the concept , even i did the same in my JAIIB , time has come to open up our eyes let's understand the concept of the subjects , will try to post the concept with short notes what I prepare while studying, let's study and transform ourself from unexpected banker to a Perfect Banker.
